PM Discharge Instructions
Discharge is from 2:30 PM – 3:00 PM
Expect your cat to not act normally, potentially less alert or over reacting to loud noises of handling. This is normal.
Keep them in a quiet place, confined and checking on them routinely for the evening.
Offer them food and water immediately.
Restrict outdoor activity for 7 days post surgery.
If your cat licks their incision site, purchase a Elizabethan collar, (e-collar) at Tractor Supply.
If they do not eat the day after surgery, consult your local veterinarian.
For Female Cats:
Expect some oozing around the incision site. Compress the area with a warm wet paper towel for a minute starting the day after surgery and an additional two days.
You may notice a small green color mark adjacent to the abdominal incision which is a tattoo indicating she has been spayed.
