About our Clinic
Southern Animal Cares mission is to bring high quality spay and neuter services to cats of Mecklenburg County and surrounding communities. We strive to make the lives of both our cats and their families better by decreasing the number of unwanted kittens born. Our fees are structured only to cover our overhead so we can continue to provide this service to our community. We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
Currently we are only providing cat spay and neuter surgeries. Our clinic was established to reduce the number of unwanted kittens so that each cat that is born can find a loving home.
We currently do not accept dogs.
Our Mission
Our mission as a non-profit is to bring affordable cat spay and neuter services to Mecklenburg and surrounding counties. We strive to make the lives of both pets and people better by lowering the number of stray kittens born and providing other necessary vet care needs

Meet our Founder!
Holly Gill , DVM
A 1982 graduate of Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine established Southern Animal Care in 2014. Small Animal Medicine and Surgery was her daytime job but this 501c3 allowed her to take teams to do veterinary work in underserved communities outside the United States. Since 2022 she has been the volunteer surgeon for the Lake Country SPCA performing over 600 surgeries for their in house pets.
